STANDING TRIPLE JUMP TEST
The standing triple jump test provides a noninvasive technique (without resorting to muscle biopsy) to estimate fast-twitch muscle fiber percentage in key areas. High scores are associated with starting acceleration in sprinting and explosive power, quickness, and speed over short distances. From a standing long jump position, jump forward as far as possible using a two-foot takeoff, landing on only one foot before immediately jumping to the opposite foot, taking one final jump, and landing on both feet. Record the average of five attempts.
