What is everyone's opinion on the new rule the IAAF has been trying out?

i think that if implemented, it could possibly hurt the sport more than help it.

so far, i have not heard of a single athlete in favor of the new rule. this seems strange because if you are a very consistant vaulter, then you would bennefit from this rule even if it was at the expense of other vaulters.

i am in favor of keeping the current system of three consecutive misses, but if competitors were only allowed 2 at my state meet a few weeks ago, then i would now be the state champ rather than runner up.

Anyway, if this change does go through, i think that eventually, athletes would learn to deal with it. after all isnt a change from sand to foam rubber or from steel to fiberglass bigger than from 3 to 2 misses.
