Speed, consistency and aggression combine to make a great approach. An althlete must be

flight phase.
162. Chris Diller 00:52:51 8/27/96 Coach and PV
You have to adapt to the vaulter. Whether it is short runs or long runs.

the week.
I usaully used a 4 step walk in and a 16 step approach

181. Mario Oliver 15:39:29 8/25/96 Coach and PV
Great speed at take-off. Combining a tall run with quick turnover and accelleration where you
need it, take-off. A smoothly accelerated run will reduce injury and increase reproducibility of
the run.
182. Bubba Sparks AKA Doug Sparks 15:33:37 8/25/96 Coach and PV
Run the first three steps, cruise without decelerating, then run when the box calls. Ask Australia's
