I'm in America East, Division 1...they yelled at us at for getting our steps in our first meet, but it was a larger meet. The dual meet we were in last week, they didnt seem to care. Isnt it important to always check your step? Thats what ive always been told, and really dont understand why they wouldnt let us now...oh well.
Are there any other rules that change from high school to college that i should be aware of?
: I had a few DIII meets that they wouldn't let you check steps. I'd say about a third of all.
: what conference were you in?
: : It was always allowed in Division III. In most meets there was an official or staff person catching steps. Usually as long as it's not the coach it's alright. You are always allowed to check your step though, and should.
: : : I was wondering if anyone knew the answer to this...In college meets, are you allowed to have someone (your teammate) get your step, and are you allowed to check it? thanks
