personally, I like fiber. carbon has some benefits, and we're the same size, so I assume you'd be attracted to the light weight of carbon poles. they just don't kick as much, until you get on really long poles or very heavy, large poles, then their really similar.
best thing to do is to stick with what you are already on now, be it fiber or carbon.
