Are you driving your knee? or jumping? I run very slow and I can still jump on a 15' 160 spirit holding 6 to 8" down on 5 steps. I happen to have a strong jump, drive, and swing.
point is, you can only carry so much of that speed trough into your jump. It doesn't make much sense to just run and stop. The energy goes away. You have to make a jump of somekind, whether it a horizonal one or a vertical is your choice.
Your bottom arm cannot bend a pole in the way we would like to bend it. All it can do is keep your center of gravity from swinging up before you want it to.

So anyway, don't try to bend the pole with your arm. Instead, prop it like your tring to push a car out of a ditch, then drive behind that arm by jumping up and driving with your knee.

If need be, you may have to just lock your arms out and jump and drive. Dome people need to just learn that it can be done, then it becomes easy(er)

: I am trying to bend the pole I am on right now, but I am doing something wrong. I think I have enough speed but my lower arm always collapses after the plant. Does anybody know anyway to fix this problem, any drills, any exercises or lifts maybe to make my left arm stronger?
: Thank you
