I am definitely not the fastest vaulter in the world but i am a 15 foot vaulter as a sophomore in HS. i have a good plant and a good take off (both can be better) and i use a 14' 170lb pole and i weigh 140lbs. you don't have to be that fast to get on poles 30 lbs over your weight.
